Dr. Katie Hayes at Hayes Equine Veterinary Services has provided excellent service to equines in Texas and Oklahoma since 1986. For the past seven of those years both Dr. Hayes and Dr. McCarville have treated your horses at the clinic and on the farm, as well as providing 24/7 emergency service.
We are announcing that Dr. Meghan has accepted a new position at a local small animal only clinic. She will work her usual schedule thru May 1, then be available on Mondays and emergencies thru June 30th.
We thank her for her service to the horses and clients of Texoma.
Dr. Hayes will be working solo until an associate or relief vet can be found.
As of May 1, we will be restructuring how, when, and where appointments are made. In order to see as many horses as possible, Dr Hayes is requesting that your horses be brought into the clinic. Farm calls will be limited. If you do not have access to a trailer, Hayes Equine can now provide transportation to the clinic for your “loadable” horse at a base cost of 100.00 each way. Mileage charges may apply depending on the distance.
Additional trailering options are:
Dwayne Bigby 972-742-6065
Trailer only rental: Todd in Bells 214-883-5351
Kelli Strahm 214-335-7880
For your convenience we are also accepting drop offs the night before or morning of your appointment. There will be a fee of 25.00 if your horse stays overnight.
Farm calls, with geographical limitations, will be made between the hours of 1-3 pm, Tuesday thru Friday.
Dr. Hayes will continue to provide emergency services but asks that most cases be brought to the clinic. Emergency farm calls will also be limited.
Again, these changes are necessary for Dr. Hayes to see all the horses that need veterinary care and services.
We appreciate your understanding regarding these changes.
